Couple & Relationship Treatment

At Surrey Healthcare Clinic we offer relationship therapy sessions where you can come with your partner. This diverse and inclusive relationship service is available to all sexualities and gender identities, including gay, lesbian, bisexual, heterosexual and transgender. You may be married or, in a civil partnership, living together or apart. We are here to help you with whatever relationship problems you may have.

We will initially explore your situation and relationship issues with you, discuss a way forward and a plan for therapy. Couple and relationship therapy can help you come together in a safe and regulated environment to open up communication between you so that you can understand the underlying issues and unhelpful patterns that can evolve in most close relationships.

Engaging in relationship therapy can help you to find alternative ways to manage conflict and work through things that are difficult to talk about. It can slowly resolve the struggles you are experiencing and find a shared way forward. Problems with relationships can be complicated and sometimes develop from challenges you may have experienced in your earlier life as well as current stress. Couple and relationship therapy can be helpful in this situation as it looks at what lies behind current difficulties, paying attention to both the past and the present in order to bring about change and understanding.
