Couple & Relationship Treatment

At Surrey Healthcare Clinic we offer relationship therapy sessions where you can come with your partner. This diverse and inclusive relationship service is available for all sexuality and gender identities, including gay, lesbian, bisexual, heterosexual and transgender. You may be married or, in a civil partnership, living together or apart. We are here to help you with whatever relationship problems you may have.

We will initially explore your situation and relationship issues with you, discuss a way forward and plan for therapy. Couple and relationship therapy can help you come together in a safe and regulated environment to open up communication between you so that you can understand the underlying issues and unhelpful patterns that can evolve in most close relationships.

Engaging in relationship therapy can help you to find alternative ways to manage conflict and work through things that are difficult to talk about, slowly resolving the struggles you are experiencing and finding a shared way forward. Problems with relationships can be complicated and sometimes develop from challenges you may have experienced in your earlier life, as well as current stress. Couple and relationship therapy can be helpful in this situation as it looks at what lies behind current difficulties, paying attention both to the past and the present in order to bring about understanding and change.
